Following the latest raft of measures from HM government and RFU following suit all professional and community rugby activities are to cease with immediate effect.
Therefore all Fairford RFC training, matches and social events including the mini/junior end of season awards will be postponed until further notice so keep your eyes peeled on social media and emails.
As a club, we will continue to look after the running of the club but without face to face meetings. We will plan for the next season and continue to build on the clubs success.
Just to get away from the doom and gloom for a brief moment, the season so far has been very enjoyable and successful:
– Youth number and coaching continue to improve
– Seniors finish fifth in Gloucs 1 after being promoted
– Seniors are senior cup finalists
– The ladies team has appeared from nowhere and are revved up and ready to go
We have lots to look forward to in the future with FairFest and joint training sessions planned across the seniors/ladies and youth.
Lastly, as the great community rugby club that we are, if anyone finds themselves in trouble or needs help in these unprecedented times, please get in touch with the club. We have enough knowledgable, talented, community-minded members and supporters to help out #getintouch
We will come back stronger #greenarmy
